  • Reviews pages for accessibility
  • Creates all content and documents following  accessibility guidelines
  • Designs clear & consistent document navigation
  • Uses captioned media
  • Audits content for accessibility guideline adherence before entering into CMS
  • Maintains department websites
  • Remediates inaccessible content
  • Proactively plans for when accessibility barriers are found
  • Supports accessibility planning & development efforts
  • Ensures web pages meet accessibility standards
  • Retains original files (PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Understands digital accessibility guidelines

Marketing & Communication

  • Leads efforts to ensure web editors/content owners adhere to accessibility standards
  • Notifies department when digital accessibility issues arise
  • Designs clear & consistent web navigation
  • Embeds accessibility standards in brand and design guides
  • Tests for accessibility standard adherence 
  • Monitors for accessibility issues within code
  • Reviews domain for Accessibility issues
  • Governs accessibility standards and remediation efforts
  • Reports on domain accessibility scores
  • Ensures improvement in domain accessibility scores
  • Increases awareness of the disability experience & works with staff & faculty to proactively reduce barriers via training & consultations

Information Technology

  • Develops training materials
  • Offers training sessions & personalized consultation
  • Manages procurement and system support for select accessibility tools
  • Increases awareness of the disability experience & works with staff & faculty to proactively reduce barriers
  • Directs user acceptance testing when third-party components are embedded into domain
  • Maintains Accessibility Hub website with how-to video tutorials & step-by-step instructions
  • Administers other aids & services
  • Tests for accessibility
